Coop teams up with Product Guru to find innovative World Food brands

Product Guru organised a specific retailer campaign to help the buying team at the Coop to find innovative brands and products to expand their range in the World Food category.

Our Product Guru platform connects disruptive brands with innovative buyers, to get exciting new products onto shelves. Coop is a well known brand in the food retail business, part of The Co-operative Group in the UK, with over 4,050+ shops in the country. Their buying team wanted to expand their range of World Food products, with relevant suppliers that could meet their needs. 

Our team at Product Guru was delighted to help buyers at Coop with their sourcing efforts by streamlining product submissions and simplifying the review process. Our team was able to curate brands from the comprehensive range in the Product Guru platform (over 10,000 brands and counting!) using our advanced search filters for product discovery, to match the exact criteria for Coop's range review.

A select group of twelve brands were pre-selected and submitted to buyers at Coop for review. The buying team at Coop proceeded to select their brands of interest, and a follow up 1:1 pitch event was organised between the parties.

We have worked closely with hundreds of buyers from the UK’s leading retailers, and Coop has been one of our close partners.

With clear guidelines to fulfil Coop’ demands, Product Guru was able to curate brands meeting criteria and submit products that met the retailer's demands and objectives. 

Buyers at Coop expressed that Product Guru's campaign worked as an effective way to find and engage with brands relevant to the category, and the team confirmed they would follow up via the Product Guru platform with brands who pitched to the retailer.
