Tell us about the company, Zuhayr.
We were formed at the start of 2020, however our Director was conducting R+D into novel CBD formulations as far back as 2018. Our registered office is in Central London, however our secure, clinical manufacturing site is in Greater Manchester. We produce high quality pharma grade CBD formulations with a focus on relieving suffering.
Our founder, Dr Adia, was given a cancer diagnosis and subsequently a long term chronic nerve tumour condition diagnosis in 2017. He was on a number of strong medications to relieve his symptoms, and was significantly affected by the side effects of these strong drugs. On a trip to Canada, he discovered CBD and since using it, he has come off the majority of medicines he was previously on, dramatically improving his quality of life. However, upon returning to the UK, he found the quality of CBD here to be lacking. After researching further, he found a CMC (Centre for Medical Cannabis) study, showing that the vast majority of CBD products were lacking in quality, underdosed and containing illegal levels of THC and measurable levels of toxins. He then formed Neuraleaf, to provide pharmaceutical quality CBD to the market, to provide relief to people suffering as he did and to improve their quality of life.
How many people work for the business?
We currently have a team of 8 people, soon expanding to 10.
Who do you sell to?
Most of Neuraleaf’s customers are referred by their doctors, as Neuraleaf is the only UK CBD provider that is recommended by the MCCS (Medical Cannabis Clinicians Society) – a society of the leading medical cannabis specialist doctors. While Neuraleaf is still young on the general CBD market, our reputation amongst medical professionals is strong.
Is there a specific product you're particularly proud of and why?
Our Ultra Nano 4X liquid is a unique product using our signature unique Entourage formulation, a complex blend of cannabinoids, terpenes and flavonoids based on 2 years of R+D that targets our products to improving quality of life for people who suffer. Using this unique formulation, we use proprietary technology to package the CBD into tiny nanomolecular structures which allows the CBD to provide rapid, instant relief, with high bioavailability. We are proud to have the only product on the market that provides rapid relief using CBD. The tiny size of the nanomolecular structures allows them to pass through cells, allowing the CBD to penetrate every tissue in the body, ensuring comprehensive Neural Relief.
What do you most enjoy about running your business?
Hearing back from our customers and their prescribing doctors that the patient’s quality of life has significantly improved. This reflects our founders own experience and was the reason he created Neuraleaf.
When you’re not working, what do you enjoy doing?
Our founder enjoys playing badminton, reading books, watching Netflix and eating good food!
