We talked Alison Mahoney from this exciting brand, who told us all about No Sugar Company.


Tell us about the company, Alison.  

Founded as a Canadian based company in 2018, we started marketing our products with the Home Shopping Network and smaller retail.  2020 was a big year where we were picked up by Costco Canada and Walmart. 

We moved quickly across Canada and in to the US later that year and Costco pulled our products in to the UK in January 2021.  It’s been a wild ride and we are very grateful for all of the support.

The founder of the business is Brad Woodgate.  He’s been in the food industry for over 20 years, previously in the nutraceutical category. He founded No Sugar after battling some health issues and scrutinizing his diet and the result was to reduce refined sugar.  Upon this journey it was clear to him there wasn’t a lot on the market that satisfied the sweet tooth without sugar and then it all began. 

Our products take time to come to market, our recently launched energy drink took almost 3 years until we got the taste just perfect.  

Is there a specific product you're particularly proud of and why? 

We are proud of all our products but our best seller continues to be our Keto Bombs.  These are 17g of indulgence and have been hailed as the perfect after dinner sweet snack that satisfies those cravings.

What can you tell us about Brad, the founder of No Sugar Company? 
Outside of work, Brad is a family man.  He spends a lot of his time with wife Mel and two daughters, Summer and Ivy.  Summer and Ivy were the inspiration of the Kids Snack Trax bars.

What can you tell us about your experience with Product Guru? 

"Product Guru has been a great avenue for us to make connections with interested retailers in a market where we have little footprint and no network.  We have some great opportunities on the horizon from pitches we have participated in and hope to announce a couple of successes in the months to come."
